It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of Pete. He truly was a special person, known to all in the club as Uncle Pete and liked by everyone. For some he was seen as a father figure, always looking out for them, making sure they were OK. For others he was a mate, someone always happy to chat and pass on his wisdom. I know I can speak on behalf of everyone in the club and say that however you saw Uncle Pete you genuinely liked ham and saw him for what he was, a great person. You will be sadly missed Uncle Pete. Tristan. Hereford 49ers SC.
We were very sad to hear that Pete had passed away. He was a very likeable chap and enjoyed many a chat on scoots or on life. He will be missed. God bless you Pete and your family. Paul, Vicky, Tom and Daisy.
To Pete’s wife and girls. It’s a big loss of a great bloke who loved the scooter scene. Thinking about you all on this sad occasion. Deano and Paula.
Sadly I never got to meet Pete. Judging from the comments I’ve heard and the grief felt he must have been a great guy. I’m no doubt poorer for not having ridden with him and known him. My thoughts are with his family and the rest of you guys. Jon
RIP Uncle Pete. Gaz and Family
I would like to say goodbye to Uncle Pete. I am going to miss you. I did not know you for long but you really made a great impression on me., Though everyone in the club has been fantastic and really helped me as a novice get into scootering and rallies and all that goes with it. When I first met you Pete, you were like the long lost Uncle, you took me under your wing and kept asking me if I was alright and hanging back when we were riding to make sure I was there and always sat in the corner of Tony’s shed and had that big smile on your face. I am sure you are in a better place now. Keep an eye on us all mate. Damyon
RIP Pete. From Yosser and family down under.
Both very sorry to hear the sad news about Pete. As always, regret not seeing him as much as we should have. Sleep well Pete. x Bruna and Baz
So sorry to hear of Pete’s death. People always say at these times how wonderful they were or how nice they were, I can honestly say hand on heart that Pete was one of the nicest and enthusiastic chaps I have ever had the please of meeting. I know his ill health held him back on certain things, however it never seemed to dampen his spirits when he was with us at the club. I will miss you. The pleasure and the privilege was all mine. Del Boy.
Sadly missed and never forgotten. All the members of Hereford 49ers SC
Petes funeral today was one of the most light hearted ones I have ever experienced. After feeling a little awkward when we arrived I am pleased to say that these feelings were instantly erased as soon as Petes family and friends welcomed us with open arms. Petes family were warm hearted, generous and genuine.I am now embarrassed that more effort wasn`t made to see Pete in his final days. Pete was truly a sad loss, but I am proud and humbled to have known him and extremely proud of the 49rs who attended today who I personaly think made petes send off special. Bru
